Golden Threads:

Healing Harps and Harmonium

Fourth* Thursday at 7pm

** Cancelled in March **

"Golden Threads" are the healing sound duo of Margaret Germain and Jamie Besterfield. Sound healing brings together scientifically proven research about the effect of sound and music on the body and mind, opening to spiritual enlightenment through meditation and mantra chanting.  Margaret and Jamie use several harps combined with harmonium and mantra chanting to relax and focus spiritual energy.

It has been proven through clinical studies in the medical and psychological fields that sound can help improve healing, depression, anxiety, memory and other physical and mental conditions. Harp therapy is especially powerful in reducing stress and anxiety. Golden Threads uses the 7 healing sound modes and harps that are specially tuned to therapeutic groups of notes. The vibration of the 46 strings on the concert harp, combined with the smaller harps and harmonium, produce an energy that resonates deep in the body. The healing session involves both meditative listening and active chanting to fully involve body, mind and spirit.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat if you want to lie down. Chairs will be provided. $10-$20 requested donation.
